The salaries of those who will be recruited must be in accordance with the capabilities of the federation.
What is meant by according to ability is that the salary is realistic or reasonable.If the salary requested by the coach is too high, PSSI will reconsider.
“Pak Sumardji’s discussions will be decisive. Of course they [potential coaches] will ask for conditions. We will consider it based on our abilities. We have to be realistic.”

“Oh yes, capacity of course. For example, if the request is too expensive and the federation can’t afford it, we can’t force it,” said Amali in Senayan, Wednesday (26/11).
Not only that, PSSI also ensures that the coach who will be director is one who is prepared to meet PSSI’s targets.The closest target is the 2026 AFF Cup.
“Yes, of course that will bring us [the Indonesian National Team] to our targets, right? What will it be like in ASEAN? Right, that’s how it is. Right, there will be a FIFA ASEAN Cup too,” said Amali.
“Then what will it be like in Asia [2027 Asian Cup]. Then for the World Cup it will be 2030. Meanwhile our management only lasts until 2027. So we will be together until 2027.”
Regarding whether the coach will be contracted for a long duration like Shin Tae Yong for four years or a short duration, Amali cannot be sure.
Currently PSSI is selecting five candidates for the Indonesian National Team coach.Until now the names of those who have been contacted and will be interviewed are still being kept secret.
The plan is that the Chairman of the PSSI National Team Body Sumardji and PSSI Technical Director Alexander Zwiers will fly to Europe to interview the prospective coach.
Later, the results of the interview for the prospective coach will be brought to the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) meeting.In this meeting it will be determined who will be the coach of the Indonesian National Team.
