and landslides in the area.
Masinton said the nine villages whose access was still cut off were in hilly areas.He said this isolated area could only be accessed by walking for 4 to 5 hours from the nearest village.
“There are still 9 more isolated villages located in hilly areas, which can only be reached by walking for 4-5 hours from the nearest location,” he said via short message, Thursday (18/12).

He explained that the distribution of aid to the nine villages was carried out by air via helicopter or on foot from the nearest location.
“Aid is sent only by foot from the nearest village and by air via helicopter,” he said.
Quoting the BNPB website, the number of victims who died as a result of this disaster reached 1068 people.Then, 190 people were declared missing and seven thousand people were declared injured.
This disaster also affected 52 districts/cities in the three provinces.With 147,236 houses declared damaged.
