The summons was made in the context of socializing tax obligations in the palm oil products sector and its derivatives.
“On this socialization opportunity, we urge them to immediately carry out voluntary improvements before the DJP takes law enforcement steps against parties who are indicated to be non-compliant,” said Bimo in his official statement in Jakarta, (28/11).
Bimo emphasized that the government is committed to strengthening governance of the palm oil industry to make it more transparent, accountable and sustainable and able to maintain competitiveness in the global market.
“Let’s make this momentum a real step to increase compliance and strengthen state revenues,” said Bimo.
DGT is also committed to carrying out supervision professionally and proportionally, as well as opening up space for dialogue with business actors to ensure compliance can increase without hampering economic activity.
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the socialization activities were a series of ongoing efforts by the government to encourage compliance and optimize state revenues from this sector which is one of the pillars of the national economy.
“Thank you to the participants who attended this morning’s event. Actually, I was not scheduled to attend, this was sudden. Mr. Bimo said earlier, if the Minister comes, hopefully tax revenues will increase a lot,” said Purbaya.
Regarding the joint Ministry of Finance-Polri operation which succeeded in uncovering the smuggling of CPO derivative products in early November 2025, Purbaya emphasized that this step was not aimed at scaring business actors, but rather to ensure business activities carried out in accordance with statutory provisions.
“If there are any difficulties or problems, report them to me. We will fix them. What is clear is that we want the palm oil industry to remain the backbone of Indonesian industry,” said Purbaya.
Purbaya added the government wants to create a healthy and fair business climate.Fiscal policy will be directed to provide benefits for business actors while strengthening state revenues.
“Friends from the business world, please cooperate for the smooth running of all of us and to maximize your contribution to this country,” concluded Purbaya.
