Subsidized Food Program
which has been running since 2017.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security (KPKP) Service Hasudungan Sidabalok explained that up to now more than 16 million subsidized food commodities have been distributed, including rice, chicken eggs, chicken meat, beef, mackerel and UHT milk.
All these commodities can be accessed through official outlets and sales points provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

“The public does not need to worry because until the end of this year all subsidized food commodities will remain available in outlets and other sales places. Distribution will continue to run smoothly according to schedule,” said Hasudungan in a written statement, Friday (14/11).
As of October 2025, the subsidized food program has reached 1,024,189 beneficiaries from various groups, such as Jakarta Smart Plus Card holders (KJP+), Jakarta Elderly Cards (KLJ), Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Cards (KPDJ), Jakarta Children’s Cards (KAJ), PKK cadres, Jakarta Worker Card holders (KPJ), flat residents, honorary teachers, education staff, and Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP).
Hasudungan also ensured that there would be no budget cuts for the subsidized food program in 2026.
The budget stated in the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) can still be increased (
top up
) if necessary.
He explained that the additional budget could be done through several mechanisms, including shifting the budget from Unexpected Expenditures (BTT) or through the 2026 Revised Budget.
“We will continue to present policies that support the community, especially in ensuring the availability of quality food at affordable prices. This program will continue without reducing the budget, as a form of our commitment to maintaining food security and the welfare of Jakarta residents,” said Hasudungan.
