Changing the name of an airport after a president is not the first time in the United States.At least, more than 10 airports in the US have changed their names to use the names of presidents who have served.
Such as John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Virginia, George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, and Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Michigan.

A spokesperson for the state representative’s office, Meg Weinberger, also confirmed the name change for Palm Beach Airport.
“President Trump is the most important president in the lives of us and the residents of Palm Beach County. So he deserves to be honored, like many other presidents before him, by naming our airport Donald J. Trump International,” Weinberger said, as reported by

Weinberger also is a co-sponsor of a bill to rename a four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard from Palm Beach International Airport to Mar-a-Logo.It says the proposal was signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis, but is still pending approval by local officials.
The US Air Force plane that usually transports the President of the United States, Air Force One, also often lands at this airport, because it is close to the presidential residence at Mar-a-Lago.
