Not long after that, a convoy of around 20 motorbikes appeared from the direction of Cicadas towards the same location.Officers immediately gave chase.
Five teenagers were arrested along with two other vehicles, namely a black Honda Beat and a Suzuki GSX.It is strongly suspected that this group carried sharp weapons which were then thrown around the road. However, during a follow-up search, the weapon was not found.
Information from the detained teenagers led to the identification of a group called Albatros.
“This group is known to often be involved in carrying out sharp weapons and causing commotion,” said Bandung Police Chief Commissioner Budi Sartono.
At almost the same moment, residents reported a stabbing victim related to the brawl.
The victim is known as Raissa Bagus Ascharya, born in Karawang on March 20 2003. He is a student who lives in Jayamukti, Central Cikarang, and was in the Antapani area at the time of the incident. The victim was rushed to receive treatment for his injuries.
This enforcement operation did not stop there.Officers again received a report about two people carrying sharp weapons in the Antapani Terminal area.
When members arrived, the Antapani Police had confiscated a long knife which was thrown away at the location. The two teenagers were then taken to the police station for further examination.
“They are suspected to be in the same network as the Albatros group and are involved in the same series of actions,” he said
The authorities are currently investigating the motives and roles of each teenager in the gang. The Bandung Police emphasized that they would continue to increase night patrols to prevent motorbike gangs from disturbing residents and take firm action against perpetrators of street crimes.
“Don’t cause trouble and terror in the city of Bandung. We will take firm action against any perpetrator who tries to disturb public security and order,” he said.
