proposes that the Bill on the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (
BPIP
) regulates the development of Pancasila for prospective Indonesian citizens (WNI) resulting from naturalization.
This discourse was conveyed by DPR Baleg Chairman Bob Hasan in a follow-up meeting on the bill, Tuesday (12/11).This provision is stated in Article 4 Paragraph 2 Letter P in the bill.

“We agree that naturalized Indonesian citizen candidates must be given the Pancasila development ideology, we agreed first,” said Bob in the meeting.
However, this authority will later be given to the Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) which has been processing the naturalization of Indonesian citizens.However, he continued, the coaching material will be coordinated with BPIP.
According to Bob, this provision will be discussed further in the process of the formulation team and synchronization team.
“That later the Ministry of Law or BPIP will organize it, it will be formulated in timus [bill drafting team] timsin [bill synchronization team], including this language,” said Bob.
The DPR Baleg Expert Team who was present at the meeting explained that this discourse had been discussed.
So far, he said, the function of naturalization has been with the Directorate General of Legal Administration (AHU) of the Ministry of Law.Thus, BPIP’s function is only to coordinate or prepare development ministers.
“So the implementer remains in another ministry, but the materials and materials that prepare it are BPIP so the function of BPIP is only to coordinate these activities more or less like that, sir,” he said.
