Member of Commission IV DPR, Rajiv, urged the police to thoroughly investigate the case
destruction
tea plantation owned by PTPN I Regional II Malabar in Pangalengan District, Regency
Bandung
, West Java.
He emphasized that the investigation must not stop with the perpetrators in the field, but must trace the intellectual actors suspected of being behind the action.Rajiv said the damage had a pattern, and was therefore done deliberately and structured.
“The damage to dozens of hectares is not a small job. There is a pattern, there is funding, and there is clearly an interest. I ask the police to reveal who is behind it,” said Rajiv in his statement, Friday (28/11).

Rajiv made this statement after receiving the report on the results of the crime scene investigation (TKP) carried out by a joint team from the Bandung Police and Pangalengan Police on Thursday (27/11) in Margamulya Village.Officers directly checked a number of blocks of tea land that had suffered damage.
Based on the results of the inspection, damage was found in three locations. In the Bojong Waru Block, Bojong Waru Village, around five hectares of tea gardens look damaged with the stems cut from the base and then left to dry.
More extensive damage was found in Cipicung I Block, Babakan Tirtasari Village, reaching more than eight hectares.Meanwhile, in Cipicung II Block, Sukastay Village, around one hectare of tea plants were also cut in a similar pattern.
Rajiv believes there is a long-term goal in the case, be it land control or business interests. He admitted that he would bring up the issue in a meeting with BUMN.He reminded that inter-agency coordination should not be a mere formality.
“I want real results. Don’t just have a meeting, but take no action. The state must not be defeated by parties who try to control BUMN land illegally,” said Rajiv.
“Whoever is behind this damage, I assure you will not get away with it. This is a state asset. No one should play with it,” he added.
Until now the investigation is still ongoing. The police are targeting to reveal all the perpetrators and their networks suspected of being involved in the destruction of dozens of hectares of tea plantations.
A PTPN VIII officer who declined to be named said the action was carried out in a structured manner. He said the case was carried out by many people and happened for months.
“We found many very neat cut marks. This was not the work of one or two people. This action was carried out at night, when patrols were not there. It happened for months, secretly and planned,” he said.
