He conveyed this in line with the discussion of the draft regional regulations (raperda) for Non-Smoking Areas (KTR) which had been completed by the special committee (pansus).

“In certain places, entertainment venues, cafes, this is permitted. Don’t let smokers’ smoking harm other people’s health,” said Khoirudin at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (5/11).
Khoirudin explained that the draft regional regulation was not intended to prohibit smoking, but to limit it.
Some of the restricted places are educational and health institutions.
“Primarily in the educational environment, because this is an educational institution, potential future leaders must be sterile, secondly, for health institutions and others,” he said.
The Special Committee for Non-Smoking Areas (Pansus KTR) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD together with the executive previously completed discussions on a draft regional regulation with 27 articles consisting of 9 chapters.
According to the DPRD’s official website, the KTR draft regional regulation is said to include, CHAPTER I General Provisions, CHAPTER II Non-Smoking Areas, CHAPTER III Obligations and Prohibitions, CHAPTER IV Guidance, Coordination, Supervision and Control, CHAPTER V Community Participation, CHAPTER VI Investigations, CHAPTER VII Funding, CHAPTER VIII Transitional Provisions, CHAPTER IX Closing Provisions.
Chairman of the Special Committee, Farah Savira, said that the special committee would report on the completion of the draft regional regulation in the joint leadership meeting forum (Rapimgab) and the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda).
Furthermore, harmonization by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) of the Republic of Indonesia.
“This has been a struggle for 15 years. So we also really appreciate all the efforts that have been given to make KTR a success,” said Farah some time ago.
