Drug Cartels Fight Brimob Troops Using Samurai in Kampung Bahari

“When we went there we had thought and analyzed and anticipated that there would be resistance, it turned out to be true,” said the Director of Enforcement and Pursuit of the Indonesian BNN, Brigadier General Roy Hardi Siahaan in Jakarta, Wednesday.
He said that the resistance was carried out by community groups who were in a circle at that location.”The people in the ‘circle’ location fought back using samurai,” he said.

Dozens of Brimob troops equipped with tear gas and shields actually encountered resistance from a group of people suspected of being ordered by the Kampung Bahari drug cartel.
Police fired tear gas to break up the crowd of drug cartels.However, the crowd also responded by shooting firecrackers.
Brimob personnel who were resisted by shooting firecrackers, were also pelted with stones by the drug cartel crowd during the raid.
Apart from that, the crowd also brandished a number of sharp weapons.
