Wushu athlete Edgar Xavier Marvelo succeeded in giving Indonesia its 32nd gold medal at
SEA Games 2025

“Friends, the Indonesian Wushu Team’s achievements at the Thailand 2025 SEA Games today opened with a gold medal from Edgar Xavier Marvelo in the Men’s Changquan, Daoshu & Gunshu events with a total score of 29,349,” wrote the Kemenpora account on Instagram.

Edgar became Indonesia’s first gold medal contributor on the fifth day.The additional gold medal means that Indonesia has now won 32 gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games.
Edgar’s success in winning this gold medal is certainly additional motivation for other Indonesian athletes.Moreover, there are a number of Indonesian athletes who will also appear in the gold medal match today.
This additional gold medal adds to Edgar’s impressive report card while competing at the SEA Games.This is the fourth gold medal for the 26 year old wushu athlete.
Previously, Edgar managed to win two gold medals at the 2019 SEA Games. He won them in the wushu sports in the Daoshu and Gunshu and Duilian numbers.
The third gold medal was won at the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games. Edgar was the best in the Changquan number.
