Minister of Finance’s Response
On the same occasion, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi said he had heard the aspirations of the Editors’ Forum regarding the current media business.
“Earlier I also had a discussion with the editors. They complained that the journalism business and the media were going down. I said, yes, that’s because you didn’t protest enough yesterday, so the economy fell, you just kept quiet,” said Purbaya.
Purbaya said he encouraged the media industry to continue criticizing the government in the future so that the domestic economy could be maintained.
“In the future, we must criticize, provide input so that our economy doesn’t fall again,” he said.
