succeeded in arresting one person suspected of being involved in the robbery case and
murder
against Mutmainah (74), a resident of Medeleg Hamlet, Tampingmojo Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency.
Mutmainah’s body was previously found in a burnt condition in the forest area of Lawak Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency, on Monday (3/11) evening.

“We have arrested the perpetrator of the violent theft who allegedly killed and burned the victim,” said Jombang Police Chief AKBP Ardi Kurniawan, Tuesday (4/11).
Ardi said that this crime was strongly suspected to be motivated by theft or robbery.
A number of items belonging to the victim were reported missing, including the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn car which was usually parked in his garage.
“This case is still being developed. We are currently confirming whether the body found is that of Mutmainah, who was previously reported missing,” said Ardi.
It is known that Mutmainah was found dead in a burnt condition in the Perhutani Tanjung Wetan RPH forest area, Kalongan Hamlet, Lawak Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency, on Monday (3/11) evening.
Tembelang Police Chief AKP Fadilah explained that this case started with a report from the victim’s family on Monday (3/11).The victim’s child realized that his mother was not at home, while the victim’s Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn also disappeared from the garage.
“At around 07.30 WIB, the reporter received news from his uncle that his mother was not at home. When he checked, the car was also not there, and a pillowcase with bloodstains was found in the room,” said Fadilah, Tuesday (4/11).
The family carried out an independent search but to no avail, they finally reported it to the Tembelang Police.
After receiving the report, the police immediately carried out a crime scene investigation (TKP) and examined a number of witnesses.Based on initial findings, it is strongly suspected that the victim experienced violence during the robbery incident.
Not long ago, an unidentified female body was found on Monday evening in the Perhutani Tanjung Wetan RPH forest area, Lawak Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan Regency.The body was found at around 18.30 WIB in a charred condition and difficult to recognize, about 200 meters from the main road.
