, Selangor FC coach Christophe Gamel apologized to the public after the club nicknamed The Red Giants was eliminated from ACL 2.
“We persisted in this match, but finally gave up. This is what I have said before about consistency, continuity and mental strength,” said Gamel.
“We were punished at the highest level, so of course we are disappointed to be eliminated from this competition. We know our weaknesses and we are clearly lacking in terms of physicality,” added Gamel.
Gamel said that his team’s mistake gave Persib fresh air to recover in the second half.
“I thought the first half was very good, but then we gave the opponent hope. It was an individual error and when we do things like this, that’s what we have to accept,” said Gamel.
