“Through Dukcapil Mimika, we facilitate employees and contractors to obtain official certificates from the government,” he added in an official statement.
Nathan said this Mass Civil Registration Marriage was so that their marriage would receive legalization and official marriage documents from the state.
This makes it easier for OAP employees and contractors to process other important documents such as children’s birth certificates, identity cards, family cards, and BPJS Health and Employment.
“This will make it easier for them to register their family members to receive benefits such as education and health assistance, up to retirement. By getting these benefits, we hope to improve their standard of living and welfare,” said Nathan.
The program, which was held on October 30, was attended by 25 couples, accompanied by their closest family members, and involved collaboration from the private sector and local government.
“Residential documents and civil registration are important for every Indonesian citizen. After receiving official marriage documents from the government, it will make it easier to access various public services such as BPJS to employment administration,” said Secretary of the Mimika Population and Civil Registration Office, Damaris Tappi.
One of the participating couples expressed gratitude because this program was very beneficial for their family.
“We are very happy and thank God that we were finally able to get the letter. Previously we had difficulty processing this letter because we were busy. Thank you to the company and Dukcapil Mimika,” said participant Yulianus Kotouki.
Mass Civil Registration Marriage activities for OAP employees and contractors at PTFI through the Papuan Affairs Division (PAD) have been implemented since 2009. Until this year there were 200
people have participated.
PAD is a division within the PTFI organization which specifically manages Papuan workforce affairs, especially the development of Papuan employees both at PTFI and partner/contractor companies.
Several strategic programs to support the development of Papuan employees include various trainings as well as developing local communities around the company’s operational areas through the Nemangkawi Mining Institute (IPN).
