Pakistan declared a “state of war” or “in a state of war” following the suicide bombing that killed 12 people in the capital Islamabad today, Tuesday (11/11).
Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, said his country was at war and emphasized that this attack should be considered a wake-up call.
“In a situation like this, it is futile to hope for greater success in negotiations with the rulers of Kabul (Afghanistan),” Asif said in X.

A lecturer at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), Solehah Yacoob, went viral after claiming that the ancient Romans learned ship-building techniques from neighboring countries.
“My hypothesis comes from classical Arabic literature, stating that the Romans got some of their ship-building skills from the people of the Malay Archipelago,” said Professor Solehah, in a Facebook post on November 9, as quoted by The Straits Times on Monday (10/11).
According to him, at that time the Malays were more advanced in maritime civilization than Europeans who were used to living on land.

Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, who is also a political rival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, faces thousands of years in prison.The reason is, Turkish prosecutors charged Imamoglu with 142 charges which resulted in a sentence of more than 2,000 years.
Imamoglud was accused of committing a series of crimes ranging from embezzlement of funds, bribery, money laundering, extortion, to tender manipulation.
According to a report by the Anadolu news agency, reported by AFP, the total maximum sentence Imamoglu faces could reach 2,430 years in prison if he is found guilty.This is based on court documents released Tuesday (11/11).
