Eva Green
join their newest season.The Casino Royale star will join Wednesday season 3 as Ophelia Frump, the sister of Morticia Adams (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
Eva Green’s joining the Wednesday series also marks the French actress’s reunion with director Tim Burton after starring in Dark Shadows (2012).

Creators, showrunners and writers Al Gough and Miles Millar said Eva Green always provided an exhilarating and unique presence on screen, elegant, haunting and unexpectedly beautiful.

“These qualities are what make her the perfect choice for Aunt Ophelia. We can’t wait to see how she transforms the role and expands Wednesday’s world,” they said.
Although only seen in the final episode of Season 2, and only from behind, wearing a flower crown and writing “Wednesday must die” on the wall, Aunt Ophelia’s shadow has long loomed over Wednesday.
Throughout the second season, Morticia describes her sister as missing after losing control of her powers as Raven.It’s very similar to Wednesday’s loss of psychic abilities, causing black tears to flow from her eyes.
When Morticia hands Ophelia’s old journal to Wednesday at the end of season 2, Wednesday’s powers appear again in the form of a terrifying vision, namely Ophelia locked in a cellar-like room in Grandma Hester’s (Joanna Lumley) house.
This raises new questions for Season 3.
“Ophelia has been gone for a long time,” Millar told Tudum of Season 2’s tense ending. “It left a hole in Morticia’s life and a lot of unanswered questions. Ophelia’s reappearance will hit this family like a bomb.”
Gough explained, “The plan was always to give the audience a glimpse of him at the end of the season in a way they didn’t expect, and that became the catalyst for Season 3.”
Wednesday 2 debuted in early 2025 and quickly became the 4th most-watched English-language series of all time on Netflix, following the success of season 1, which was ranked first most-watched series.
There is still no information regarding plans for broadcasting Wednesday season 3.
