Evandra Florasta did not expect to beat Honduras in the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
The Indonesian U-17 national team managed to win 2-1 over Honduras in the final Group H match which took place in Qatar, Monday (10/11).
The Indonesian U-17 national team managed to take a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute through Evandra Florasta’s penalty execution.

However, Indonesia’s lead only lasted two minutes.Honduras managed to get a penalty after I Putu Panji made a handball in the ‘forbidden box’.
Honduras striker Luis Suazo managed to score from the penalty spot to make the score 1-1.
The continuous attacks launched by Indonesia succeeded in producing a second goal which was scored by Fadly Alberto Hengga with a beautiful kick from outside the penalty box in the 72nd minute.Indonesia won 2-1 over Honduras.
After the match, Evandra admitted that he did not expect his team to beat Honduras, which would also be Indonesia’s first win in the 2025 U-17 World Cup.

“We know that our senior players who played in the previous [U-17] World Cup collected two points, and now, thank God, my teammates and I managed to get the first three points for Indonesia in the World Cup. I am very happy,” added Evandra.
Evandra also expressed his thanks to the Indonesian National Team supporters who attended the field directly.
“I want to thank the support in the stadium, on the sidelines, and from everyone watching at home. I am very, very grateful because the supporters don’t see the score,” said Evandra.
“Even when we lost twice, they still came in droves to support us. I am really grateful to all the fans who came with us,” added Evandra.
