in Cikarang, West Java, which is claimed to be able to deliver one car in just 2.1 minutes.
The manufacturing process starts from printing iron plates to be used as door panels to the body, welding, painting, to assembling everything into one complete car.
“So the complete car manufacturing process takes around 8 hours. But the take time is around 2.1 minutes,” said a Suzuki operator in Cikarang, West Java, Tuesday (18/11).

According to him, this factory produces three car models which are the backbone of Suzuki, namely the Ertiga, XL7 and Fronx.

This factory which has adopted robotic technology not only serves production for domestic needs, but also exports.
Operating since 2015, this factory is capable of producing 107 thousand cars per year.
For your information, currently Suzuki is focusing on manufacturing passenger cars through the Cikarang Plant, while commercial cars are at the Tambun 2 Plant. Separately, motorbike manufacturing is carried out at the Tambun 1 Plant.
Suzuki is recorded as having invested more than IDR 22 trillion since the factory was founded.Through investment, Suzuki has been able to carry out a complete production process, starting from
pressing, welding, painting, assembling,
until
final inspection.
Simultaneously, Suzuki also made its own engines, transmissions and seats through the facility

Suzuki is also supported by 800 supplier partners, of which local companies account for up to 55 percent.More specifically, 32 percent of them fall into the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) category.
