This was conveyed by attorney Ammar Zoni in the hearing to read the objection or exception note at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN), Thursday (13/11).
Attorney Ammar Zoni emphasized that there were no witnesses who directly saw his client’s actions when receiving or selling narcotics at the Salemba Detention Center.

“(Requesting the panel of judges) to order the public prosecutor to immediately release the defendant Muhammad Ammar Akbar from detention immediately after the interim decision is pronounced,” said attorney Ammar Zoni at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday (13/11).
According to attorney Ammar Zoni, the prosecutor’s indictment was inaccurate, vague, and had formal and material defects.There is a discrepancy between the articles charged against Ammar Zoni in the indictment and the Notice of Commencement of Investigation (SPDP).
Attorney Ammar Zoni said that the prosecutor’s indictment also did not fully and clearly explain the time and description of the alleged crime committed.It is said that Ammar Zoni’s role was not explained in detail in the indictment.
“We, the legal advisory team, expressed objections both from a formal and material perspective,” he said.
On this basis, Ammar Zoni’s attorney asked the panel of judges to declare the prosecutor’s indictment invalid and null and void.
“Declaring that the results of the investigation report (BAP) by investigators from the Cempaka Putih Police on the defendant Muhammad Ammar Akbar are legally flawed and the BAP is null and void and or at least invalid,” said attorney Ammar Zoni.
“Declare that the public prosecutor’s indictment against the defendant Muhammad Ammar Akbar is null and void and/or annulled by law,” he continued.
Previously, in the indictment reading hearing on Thursday (23/10), Ammar Zoni was charged with selling crystal methamphetamine at the Salemba Detention Center, Central Jakarta.Ammar Zoni is said to have received methamphetamine from someone named Andre (fugitive), then sold it and distributed it in the detention center.
Ammar Zoni carried out his actions together with five other defendants, namely defendant I Asep bin Sarikin, defendant II Ardian Prasetyo bin Arie Ardih, defendant III Andi Muallim alias Koh Andi, defendant IV Ade Candra Maulana bin Mursalih, and defendant V Muhammad Rivaldi.
“Committing criminal acts of attempt or criminal conspiracy without right or against the law, offering for sale, selling, buying, receiving, being an intermediary in buying and selling, exchanging or handing over class I narcotics in non-plant form weighing more than 5 grams,” said the prosecutor when reading out the indictment.
The prosecutor revealed that the drug buying and selling had allegedly occurred since December 31, 2024. At that time, the defendant Rivaldi received the drugs directly from Ammar Zoni.
“Starting on December 31 2024 at around 14.00 WIB, defendant V obtained crystal methamphetamine from defendant VI by taking it and meeting defendant VI directly on the steps of Block I,” said the prosecutor.
The buying and selling of illicit goods occurred until January 2025 and involved the Zangi application for communication.
