There has been a viral sensation regarding allegations that national airlines’ cargo and flight ticket costs have soared for logistics deliveries to disaster-affected areas in Sumatra.

“Aid to Aceh is being held back. Cargo costs have soared due to the unreasonable pricing policies of national airlines in the midst of the disaster. We need immediate aircraft support so that aid can move,” he wrote on his Instagram account, Friday (5/12).

Then one of the viral posts on X’s social media stated that plane ticket prices at Rembele Takengon Airport, Aceh had increased by up to 500 percent.One of them is the Bener Meriah-Aceh route which is said to be IDR 8 million per person.
Responding to this, the Director General of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Civil Aviation Lukman F Laisa opened his voice.He also admitted that he had received information that someone was selling plane tickets for IDR 5 million in Rembele.The plane ticket was Wings Air.
However, continued Lukman, after Wings Air confirmed this directly, the airline stated that it did not sell regular flight tickets.

Second, regular airplane fares whose thresholds are regulated by the government.There is an upper limit tariff (TBA) and a lower limit tariff (TBB) set by the Ministry of Transportation as a price reference, airlines cannot sell above the TBA price or below the TBB price.
