Apart from that, Projo also plans to change the organization’s logo to make it appear that it does not worship individuals.The Projo logo currently displays a silhouette of Jokowi’s face.Projo’s move gave rise to a number of speculations.Responding to this, Projo Chairman Budi Arie Setiadi denied that Projo’s relationship with Jokowi had been severed.

He emphasized that Projo’s presence was also inseparable from Jokowi’s presence on the national political scene.
“I want to explain to all media friends because from the development of this news it seems as if Projo has broken off relations with Pak Jokowi, don’t frame it,” said Budi Arie at the 3rd Projo Congress, Jakarta, Sunday (2/11).
Political observer and Executive Director of SCL Taktika, Iqbal Themi, is of the opinion that Projo is maneuvering to remain in the orbit of power under Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
“Projo reads the direction of the wind. This is a way to ensure they do not become ‘stepchildren’ of power when the center of political control shifts,” said Iqbal in his statement, Tuesday (4/11).
Iqbal believes that Projo’s move is their way of surviving in the national political arena, especially after Jokowi is no longer president.He said Projo’s repositioning was an effort to prevent him from being eliminated from the axis of power today.
“Realistic political calculations rather than getting caught up in the romance of old figures,” he said.
Even so, Iqbal believes that Projo’s steps cannot be read as breaking ties with Jokowi.He called this strategy a kind of polygamy in politics.
“It’s hard to imagine Projo really letting go of Jokowi. With Gibran at the center of power, they still have a genetic path to the old patron, namely Jokowi. This is not closing the book on Jokowi, but opening a new chapter for Prabowo,” he said.
Iqbal also said that the change to the Projo logo, which will remove the silhouette of Jokowi’s face, is only a visual aspect, while the essence of the maneuver is a rearrangement of positions in the vortex of power.
He believes that Projo’s attitude is a form of ensuring that their access to power is not lost and is maintained.
“So it’s not a matter of leaving who, but ensuring that it remains safe on both sides. In politics, symbols can change, positions can shift, but access must not be lost,” he said.
Previously, the Executive Director of the Voxpol Center Research and Consulting, Pangi Syarwi Chaniago, said that Projo was an organization with a school of power and not volunteers.Therefore, according to him, whoever is in power will become the sect of the organization.
Pangi admitted that he also received a strong signal of Projo and Jokowi’s separation after the Third Congress.According to him, Projo’s attitude of no longer cultivating Jokowi is a signal of the split between the two.
