Ayu was arrested
In the aftermath of the alleged fraud case, the North Jakarta Metro Police have arrested Ayu along with four other reported defendants for questioning in the alleged fraud case.
Even though they were arrested, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the North Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar, said that the five people still had the status of witnesses.
“We have received reports from the WO victims. As of last night, we are now examining five people from the WO,” Onkoseno told reporters, Monday (8/12).

Onkoseno has not disclosed in detail the fraudulent actions allegedly carried out by Ayu.He only said that a total of 87 victims reported to the North Jakarta Metro Police.
Onkoseno said that his party was still calculating the total value of losses suffered by the victims.However, it is estimated that the total loss will reach hundreds of millions of rupiah.
“Up to hundreds (millions), in total. He offered a wedding package, but in reality it didn’t meet those conditions,” he said.
Ayu’s house was raided
Ayu’s house, located in Kayu Putih Village, East Jakarta, is known to have been raided by around 200 victims on Sunday (7/12).
East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal said the situation at that time had heated up, because hundreds of victims were demanding accountability.
“The situation heated up because the crowd demanded accountability from the wedding organizer,” he said.
Alfian said that his party immediately went to the location to carry out mediation.After that, the perpetrator was immediately taken to the North Jakarta Metro Police.
“This effort was carried out to reduce the emotions of the masses and prevent anarchic acts from occurring. After the situation was brought under control, the alleged perpetrator was arrested and then taken to hand over the handling to the North Jakarta Metro Police according to the case report,” he said
Ayu denied being let go
On the other hand, Polda Metro Jaya denied the news that Ayu had been released.
This is because news circulated on social media that Ayu had been taken by a victim to Polda Metro Jaya.However, after being questioned for four hours, Ayu was said to have been expelled after negotiating with the victim.
“So we confirm that it is not true that the alleged perpetrator was released by the Polda Metro Jaya police,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto to reporters.
Ayu and the four WO staff have been detained at the North Jakarta Metro Police.They are also still being investigated intensively regarding the alleged fraud they committed.
Budi said that investigators from the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit would also immediately conduct a case to determine the legal status of Ayu et al.
“In the examination process, it is possible that a case will be held to increase status and a case will be held to carry out detention,” he said.
