not proven to be involved in the massacre of people accused of being affiliated with the PKI after the 1965 G30S incident.
Fadli also questioned the evidence for the accusation of the 1965-1966 genocide directed at Suharto.
“There’s never been any evidence, right? It’s never been proven. What are the perpetrators of the genocide? There aren’t any. I don’t think there is,” said Fadli at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday (5/11).

Fadli also challenged those who said this by proving it through historical facts.
He claims that until now there are no historical facts that can prove Suharto’s claim of being involved in this incident.
“Where’s the evidence? We’re talking about history and facts and data. Is there any? Isn’t there?”he said.
This issue arose at the same time as Suharto’s proposal to receive the title of national hero was rejected.
This proposal caused controversy among the community.One of them was from the Justice Soeharto Civil Society Movement (GEMAS) which stated that the proposal was a disappointing step.
“Today the Ministry of Social Affairs, through its minister, has also sent a name proposal which will be submitted to the Council for Degrees, Service Certificates and Honors. Of course, this is a disappointing step but also not surprising,” said KontraS Coordinator Dimas Bagus Arya as a representative of the coalition when contacted, Tuesday (21/10).
Talking about post-G30S events, the bloody events began with the killing of six generals and an ABRI officer who are now remembered in Indonesian history as the 7 heroes of the revolution.
This event was also followed by the massacre of thousands of PKI members.A historian and Indonesianist, Benedict Anderson estimates that at least half a million people were massacred.
Many books have written about this, one of which is entitled The PKI Massacre in Java and Bali 1965-1966 by Robert Cribb, another book is Season to Kill the History of Mass Murders in Indonesia 1965-1966 by Geoffrey B Robinson.
Until now, there are many versions and history books that discuss this event.However, in essence, the event was said to be aimed at overthrowing the government of Indonesia’s 1st President Sukarno and changing the state ideology from Pancasila to communist.
Some said the PKI was the mastermind behind this incident.At that time, the PKI was led by the PKI as a result of the Vth Congress, chaired by Dipa Nusantara Aidit.
Then there is also another version which believes that the outbreak of the G30S incident was due to internal conflict in the Army, the involvement of the CIA, Sukarno, and Suharto.
