A Toyota Yaris car plunged into a ravine 20 meters deep in

, Bogor, West Java, Sunday (14/12).Four people from one family were injured.
The car with plate B-2331-POK was carrying a family from Bekasi who wanted to travel to a villa in Puncak.The four injured victims were the female driver with the initials AR (25) with minor injuries, the female passenger with the initials SH (63) with serious injuries, the male passenger with the initials RBS (65) with minor injuries, and the male passenger with the initials ATL (38) with minor injuries.
“The chronology of events before the single traffic accident occurred, the Toyota Yaris B-2331-POK minibus, driven by AR, had 3 (three) passengers, namely RBS, SH, and ATL moving from the direction of (Village) Kuta towards (Village) Babakan, Megamendung,” said Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit Gakkum Ipda Ferdhyan Mulya, Sunday.

Ferdhyan said the access route the victim took was an alternative route with the road conditions making sharp turns and having a steep incline.When he arrived at the Babakan intersection or T-junction, the car failed to climb uphill until it finally reversed and fell into a ravine.
“Upon arrival at the crime scene (TKP), the driver allegedly did not control the road terrain and was unable to control the speed of his vehicle properly when crossing an uphill road. The geography of the road curved to the left and rose sharply, the weather conditions were sunny in the afternoon,” said Ferdhyan.
“Then the white Toyota Yaris minibus B-2331-POK moved backwards, then fell into a ravine. Approximately 20 meters deep, resulting in a single traffic accident,” he continued.
Contacted separately, Megamendung Police Chief AKP Yulita Heriyanti said the four people in the car that plunged into the ravine were one family.The four people consisted of a couple and their two children.
“Still (one family). Yes (the four victims) were a husband and wife couple, and two of their children were adults,” said Yulita when contacted separately.
Yulita said the accident occurred when the car was traveling to a villa in Megamendung, Bogor Regency.
“That’s right (the car plunged into a ravine), it was a tourist car, an ordinary car (not a bus). There were four people in the car. So it was people from Bekasi and Jakarta, going to the villa for a family gathering,” he said.
“There are injured victims, but they have been immediately taken to the hospital in Cisarua. We are only providing initial treatment, then they will be handed over and handled by the Bogor Police accident unit,” he added.
