There are 27 foreign nationals (WNA) from China who are involved in this cyber crime syndicate.They are threatened with deportation from Indonesia.
Director of Immigration Intelligence, Police Commissioner Agus Waluyo said the foreigners were handed over from the Bekasi Police to the Bekasi Class I Non-Inspection Immigration Office (TPI).

“The 27 foreigners will be subject to immigration administration action in the form of deportation to the PRC (China). We are working with the PRC Embassy in Jakarta and then they will be followed up by the Chinese police,” said Agus at a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday (18/11).
Meanwhile, Head of the Bekasi Immigration Office, Anggi Wicaksono, explained that the 27 Chinese citizens were initially arrested by the Bekasi Police, West Java, in a luxury house located in Lampung.
In the luxury house, said Anggi, the foreigners created an atmosphere as if it were a Chinese police station by putting up various banners.Their method was to call Chinese citizens by pretending to be police.
“So the victims are in China. They called Chinese citizens who were in China, pretending to be Chinese police and then asked for some money,” he said.
Anggi ensured that there were no Indonesian victims.The police then handed it over to the Bekasi Immigration Office.
According to him, the Chinese citizens shared the duties of carrying out the fraud, some served as leaders and even as callers.
“Then, when they were involved, another team continued their fraud efforts. So they consisted of a team,” he said.
Currently, 27 Chinese citizens are being detained.The Directorate General of Immigration is coordinating with the Chinese Embassy to Indonesia so that it can be followed up according to the laws in force in that country.
