Head of the South Tangerang District Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari), Apreza Darul Putra in Tangerang, Friday, said that the fake prosecutor who was arrested was named Tonny Renaldo Matan (49), where he was proven to have illegal firearms and cheated his victims of IDR 310 million.
“So the firearm that was confiscated was a revolver type. He deceived someone, with the method of handling the case, but it was not stated for what case,” he explained.

He said that the proceeds from the fraud against the victim amounted to IDR 283 million and the rest was still stored in the perpetrator’s bank account number.
The perpetrator admitted to his victim that he was an Expert Staff at the Attorney General with a one-star rank, so he convinced his victim that he could take care of legal cases because he had many acquaintances with prosecutors in Bulungan, South Jakarta.
“When he was arrested, the perpetrator was wearing daily official clothing or PDH,” he said.
Based on the results of the investigation, this fake prosecutor had committed fraud against two people.
“He said earlier that the money had run out. We are still investigating it later,” he said.
Apart from that, in handling this case, the Intelligence, Reform and Innovation (SIRI) Task Force team at the Attorney General’s Office can confiscate a firearm or revolver type rifle containing seven bullets.
“The evidence of 12 active bullets and other evidence found from the perpetrator included a Nokia cellphone, Agya’s car, two KTPs, SIM A and C, NPWP, black shoes, two ATM cards and so on.
“We will then hand over the perpetrator to the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit, which of course has an article regarding possession of firearms which is regulated in the emergency law,” concluded Apreza.
