opens up about the intense public criticism following the circulation of a video of the preacher kissing a child on stage.
They stated that they had long since rebuked this behavior and apologized for the commotion that had arisen.

Agung explained that the family had repeatedly given advice regarding his younger brother’s behavior, including long before the video circulated again.According to him, Elham has also shown changes.
“We have been warning him, especially from his parents, for a long time. He has also started to change, improve himself and improve his behavior,” he explained.
He regretted that the old video had gone viral again when, according to him, his younger brother was in the process of improving himself.
“We regret why the old videos only went viral when he started to change. This is what makes the family very sad,” said Agung.
Agung also revealed that Elham’s health condition had declined since the sharp public spotlight emerged, so he could not provide direct clarification.
“He is not in a fit condition, so he is temporarily being represented. When he is healthy, God willing, he will come back,” he said.
Previously, the social media world was shocked by video footage showing Gus Elham kissing children on stage while giving a recitation.The recording sparked criticism from netizens and prompted calls for the preacher’s actions to be followed up.
One of the criticisms came from Suci Ridzqi’s upload via the @ridzqisucci account.In the upload, he included a video of Elham asking permission from a child to kiss him in front of the congregation.
“Can you be kissed one more time or not?”asked Gus Elham in the clip.
“Yes,” answered the child.
“But is Gus El happy to kiss you or not?”he continued.
“I’m happy, people,” answered the child, greeted by laughter from the congregation.
Through the information in his upload, Suci strongly condemned this action and considered it inappropriate behavior towards children.
“Recently we were shocked by the circulation of videos of (again) a man who likes hugging and kissing underage girls. The actions taken certainly amount to sexual harassment, child grooming and pedophilia,” he wrote.
He also questioned why the action took place in a public space without anyone warning him.
“This activity was shown in front of many people but strangely no one was uncomfortable or reprimanded at all. Instead, people cheered as if they were entertained by what the gus was doing to the children,” he added.
