Fishing boat fire

According to Gatot, the sparks reached the fuel oil tank, triggering a ship fire.
“This is suspected to be the cause of the fire on Mr Heri’s PT Karya Merlin ship,” he said.
The burning ship was 31.6 meters long, 7.3 meters wide and 1.95 meters deep with a volume of 449.8 cubic meters.
According to him, until tonight the extinguishing process was still ongoing to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
“We are still carrying out the cooling process,” said Gatot.
Meanwhile, officers cannot estimate the alleged losses due to the fire.
Previously, the Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) deployed 80 personnel to extinguish the burning fishing boat.
“We received a report from security officers who came to the post at 17.25 WIB and immediately sent personnel to the location,” said Gatot.
According to him, a total of 15 fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the fire that burned the ship.
