Saudi Arabia’s National Meteorological Center issued a weather warning regarding heavy rain which is expected to hit most of the Kingdom from Friday to Tuesday.
Local authorities urge residents to remain vigilant because unstable weather conditions have the potential to bring heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash floods in a number of areas.
According to the latest forecast, the weather system will affect a very wide area, including Mecca, Jeddah, Medina, Tabuk, Al Jouf, Northern Border Region, Hail, Al Qassim, Riyadh, Eastern Province, Al Baha, Asir and Jazan.
Meteorological authorities ask the public to continue to monitor information through official channels, avoid crossing valleys that are prone to flooding, and be careful when driving, especially when there is heavy rain and visibility is limited.
Residents in coastal and mountainous areas are also advised to follow safety guidelines issued by civil defense.
The center explained that the weather phenomenon lasting several days may vary in intensity from region to region, but warned that some areas may experience very heavy rain that could cause waterlogging and temporary disruption.
The authorities emphasized that all relevant agencies are alert and ready to respond to emergencies, while calling on the public to prioritize safety and follow all official directions.
