held a thanksgiving after being acquitted in the alleged Business Cooperation (KSU) corruption case and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara (JN) by PT
ASDP
2019-2022.
Ira was officially released from the KPK Building Detention Center, Jakarta, Friday (28/11) after receiving rehabilitation from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.
In a thanksgiving held in Jatiwarna, Bekasi City, Saturday (29/11), Ira recalled how hard it was to spend the nights behind bars.

“It turns out that we have not been grateful all this time. What we consider normal, what you consider normal today, be grateful. Because if in (prison) we spend the nights on the darkest night, it’s hard,” said Ira, quoting

Ira said he was languishing alone in a detention room which was so dark, its size was not big either.
During those difficult times, he admitted that he could only surrender to God Almighty.
“Yes, if it’s like this, where are we going to run? If we’re in a dark isolation room, there are no windows, the size is more or less 3×3 meters, we’re alone for three days, there are no friends, where else are we going? Just talking to God,” explained Ira.
Ira admitted that he had almost given up hope of being free from the case that happened to him.
However, in the end he admitted that he regretted having ‘dictated’ God after being freed.
“But I think that’s the highest human test. They said they told me to keep hoping, but how come it doesn’t come, Gusti Allah? But then with this incident, I was taught something extraordinary,” he said.
It was announced that Ira, former Commercial and Services Director of PT ASDP Muhammad Yusuf Hadi and former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono received rehabilitation on Tuesday (25/11) afternoon.
In the case of alleged corruption in Business Cooperation and the acquisition of PT JN by PT ASDP in 2019-2022, Ira et al were found guilty.
The panel of judges at the Corruption Crime Court at the Central Jakarta District Court sentenced Ira to 4 years and 6 months in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 3 months in prison.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi and Harry MAC were sentenced to 4 years in prison each and a fine of IDR 250 million, subsidiary to 3 months in prison.
According to the judge, the defendants have been proven to have committed criminal acts of corruption which caused state financial losses of up to IDR 1.25 trillion in KSU and the acquisition of PT JN by PT ASDP in 2019-2022.
Case number: 68/Pid.Sus-TPK/PN.Jkt.Pst was examined and tried by the chairman of the Sunoto panel with member judges Nur Sari Baktiana and Mardiantos.The verdict was read out on Thursday, November 20.
The decision was not unanimous, aka it was colored by differences of opinion or Sunoto’s dissenting opinion.
According to him, Ira et al should be acquitted (
ontslag van alle recht vervolging
) because there was no criminal act of corruption in the KSU case and the acquisition of PT JN by PT ASDP.
He views that it is more appropriate to resolve the case in a civil manner because the actions of Ira et al in acquiring PT JN are protected by the principles of the Business Judgment Rule (BJR).
