Fulham coach Marco Silva praised his players’ impressive efforts despite losing 4-5 to
Manchester City
in the 2025/2026 Premier League match.
Fulham, who was the host, lost 4-5 to Manchester City at Craven Cottage, London, Wednesday (3/12) early morning WIB.
This match was very dramatic, because Man City, who was leading 5-1 until the 54th minute, almost lost their victory.

That was after Fulham gave everything and scored goal after goal until they were finally able to reduce the deficit to 4-5.
After the match, Fulham coach Marco Silva considered his team’s game to be very impressive.
“What they showed was very impressive. Usually, when you lose badly against a team like City, there are lots of things to think about,” said Silva as quoted by ESPN.
“Maybe ‘chaos’ has already happened, but don’t take any chances. But the kids’ reaction was extraordinary, and we probably deserved a fifth goal to equalize,” said Silva.
In this match, Manchester City managed to take a 3-0 lead through goals from Erling Haaland in the 17th minute, Tijjani Reijnders in the 37th minute, and Phil Foden in the 44th minute.
Then Fulham managed to reduce the deficit to 1-3 through Emile Smith Rowe’s goal in the 45th minute+.
But at the start of the second half, Phil Foden was able to bring Man City to widen their lead to 4-1 through Phil Foden’s goal in the 48th minute.
In fact, Manchester City managed to walk away with a 5-1 lead through Sander Berge’s own goal in the 54th minute.
