has been outspoken about the pressure he experienced during the drug investigation that dragged his name.He admitted that the accusations had shaken him to the point of thinking about retiring from the world of entertainment.
This was conveyed when he guest starred on Son Suk-hee’s Questions 3 and recalled important moments in his career and discussed the circumstances surrounding the drug charges that befell him in 2023.

“I don’t mean to ask for sympathy, but even though I am the person affected, I have no place to express my thoughts or feelings,” said G-Dragon as reported

“I had stopped moving, and everything was getting out of control. For two or three months, including the end of the year and the beginning of the next year, I barely remember how I got through it.”
It all started when host Son Suk-hee commented on Power’s music video, which was released in October 2024. The MV depicts humorous satire, but the video felt like a direct critique.

G-Dragon then responded, “I have a very clear message. A year before the album release, I was involved in an incident.”
The incident refers to an investigation into suspected drug use.G-Dragon vehemently denied the allegations, voluntarily appeared for police questioning, and was cleared after detailed forensic test results were negative.
Although the prosecutor found no reason to pursue the case, he said he remained under significant stress due to persistent speculative reports and rumors.
The musician whose full name is Kwon Ji-yong described this period as tiring and empty.
He added, “I’m not going to protest, nor do I want to hold a press conference. However, it’s painful, and going through it feels suffocating.”
“I even wondered, ‘Should I really go back?’or ‘If I quit and retire, I can live like an ordinary person.’But there’s no real reason for me to disappear.”
He said these experiences shaped the creation of Power.”The root of the problem is in the media,” he said.”I want to use my voice to criticize the media so that something like this doesn’t happen again.”
Plans to get married
In the interview, G-Dragon also expressed his views on marriage, “You get married when it’s time. It’s a world I’ve never experienced, so I’m curious.”
G-Dragon added, “It was a completely foreign world for me. Among our members, Taeyang is married and now has a 4-year-old child.”
“When I visited and said, ‘I’m your father’s friend,’ that felt surreal to me too.”
G-Dragon says he believes he will one day become a father.
“I’m both excited and nervous,” he said.Regarding a potential partner, he added with a smile, “I am someone who will get married. If that is known, maybe someone will come along.”
