defended the steps taken by Ferry Irwandi and a number of parties in raising funds and distributing aid to the victim community

“The movement of citizens to help citizens as carried out by many social institutions, communities, and individuals such as Brothers Ferry Irwandi, Praz Teguh, Willie Salim, and others is a real action of the spirit of mutual cooperation and social care which has long been the strength of our nation,” said Gibran in his statement, Tuesday (9/12).
Gibran also expressed his deepest gratitude to the entire community who worked together to raise aid for residents affected by the disaster.
“Hopefully the assistance provided can provide great benefits and provide moral support for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra,” he said.
Content creator and CEO of Malaka Project Ferry Irwandi is raising donations for the Sumatra disaster.On the Kitabisa.com platform, he succeeded in raising funds reaching IDR 10 billion.
The donation drive became increasingly in the public spotlight after it was discussed by Member of Commission I DPR RI from the Gerindra Party faction, Endipat Wijaya.
He mentioned the party who came once to the Sumatra disaster area but felt they were the ones doing the most work.He compared information on government assistance with donations of IDR 10 billion by residents for landslide flood victims in Sumatra.
“People who only come once seem to work the most in Aceh, even though the state has been present from the start. There are people who have just arrived, just created one post, saying that the government doesn’t exist. Ferry added that the person concerned had apologized and contacted him personally.He accepted the apology because he had no intention of maintaining conflict in a situation like this.
