In the second session of the G20 Summit which was attended by dozens of state leaders, Gibran said that the current disasters were not only natural disasters, but also human acts.

Gibran invited all countries to place humanity at the heart of global governance.According to Gibran, world leaders must not allow human suffering to become a new normal.
“The world must not allow and normalize preventable human suffering to become the new normal,” said Gibran.
Gibran added that the group of countries that are members of the G20 as a forum representing 85 percent of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP), have a moral obligation to lead by example.
“The G20 has a moral obligation to lead by example, ensuring that growth and resilience are two sides of the same coin, promoting hope, prosperity and justice for all,” said Gibran.
Meanwhile, in the second session of the G20 Summit, world leaders discussed a theme that focused on building a resilient world, which included issues of disaster, climate change, just energy transition, and the food system.
Gibran will also deliver a speech in the third session discussing the issue of decent work and the governance of artificial intelligence.The third session will also discuss critical minerals which are the proposal and focus of Indonesia’s interests at this meeting.
