“Protection and social security, including the aforementioned, regarding costs, treatment, all kinds of things, the government will definitely comply with this,” said Saifullah when visiting the condition of some of the victims at Yarsi Hospital, Central Jakarta, Saturday (8/11).
The government, he continued, also plans to empower the victims.He has not revealed the empowerment in question.According to Saifullah, this step will be taken based on the results of the assessment.
“After that, the third step in the follow-up framework is empowerment. Maybe this will be adjusted to the results of the assessment,” he said.
Meanwhile, during his visit to the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital, East Jakarta, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that up to now a total of 29 of the original 96 victims were still undergoing treatment.
Of this number, two of them are still being treated intensively in the ICU.Victims generally experienced hearing loss due to the explosion that occurred on Friday (7/11).
The victims being treated were spread across three hospitals, respectively Jakarta Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (14 people), Yarsi Hospital (14 people), and Pertamina Hospital (1 person).
“Meanwhile, two are still being treated in the ICU because they need special treatment,” he said, Saturday (8/11) afternoon.
