Data from regional heads is used as the basis for the central government to determine the type of aid sent this morning.
The aid flown consisted of emergency equipment to vital needs for evacuation and rapid recovery.
“So today, as needed, around 150 tents were dispatched, then there were rubber boats because it was very important for evacuation, there were around 64 of them, then generators, electrical equipment, then most importantly, around 100 communication equipment were also dispatched there so that communication signals could be restarted. Then also ready-to-eat food, then a medical team from the TNI, then also from the Ministry of Health,” he said.
Teddy explained that the four planes were flown to the nearest airports to the affected locations.
“So we will go to Padang, West Sumatra, then to the nearest airport in Tapanuli, to be precise, we will go to Silangit airport, North Sumatra, then one to the airports in Banda Aceh and Lhokseumawe, North Aceh because they are the closest airports to the affected locations,” he said.
Teddy said this delivery of aid was not the first.Since the beginning of the disaster, Prabowo has also given firm directions so that all aid is delivered without delay.
In the last few days, assistance has continued via TNI aircraft and civil airlines.
All needs sent are adjusted to actual conditions in the field, based on direct communication from the central government with regional heads.
He also said that the central and regional governments continue to coordinate regarding handling this disaster.
“Yesterday I contacted directly, called directly the regional heads in West Sumatra, then Pak Masinton, then Gus Irawan, the Regent of Central Tapanuli and South Tapanuli, including the Governor of North Sumatra and Aceh Province,” he said.
