The government has prepared a budget of IDR 51 trillion to repair it
infrastructure
who are affected
flood
and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said the funds were prepared for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of infrastructure in the province.
“The costs needed are calculated in general to be more or less necessary, and this is still being updated because there could be additional or development, it is around IDR 51 trillion for handling both rehabilitation and reconstruction in three provinces,” said AHY after the Sumatra disaster response coordination meeting at his office, Thursday (11/12).

He said the budget would come from several related ministries, especially the Ministry of Public Works.This is to speed up the repair process.
“Of course later there will be an allocation which is expected to be immediately handed down to the technical ministries in the field to speed up the rehabilitation and reconstruction process,” he added.
AHY detailed the need for a repair budget consisting of IDR 24 trillion for handling post-disaster infrastructure in Aceh.Then, IDR 13 trillion for handling infrastructure in North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
“So the total is approximately IDR 51 trillion for handling both rehabilitation and reconstruction in the three provinces,” he explained.
The budget amount, continued AHY, was allocated according to mapping in the field.For example, Aceh Province was the worst hit area because 18 out of 23 were affected by the disaster.
“The biggest is (Aceh) because the biggest impact is Aceh, so approximately IDR 24 trillion is for Aceh, while the remaining IDR 13 trillion is for North Sumatra and West Sumatra,” he concluded.
