agreed to immediately hold a joint congress.
This became one of the decisions after the two of them attended the Syuriyah Consultation Meeting with Mustasyar at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri, East Java, on Thursday (25/12) today.

“Ketum and Rais Aam, with the guidance of the NU senior community members and mustasyar, agreed to hold a legitimate joint conference as soon as possible,” wrote NU Online on its Instagram @nuonline_id.
Apart from that, Ketum and Rais Aam will also soon form a joint committee to organize the Muktamar.
Later, the committee will discuss the time, place and technical aspects of the conference.
“The time, place and technical implementation of the Congress will be decided jointly by the General Chair and Rais Aam through a committee that will be formed together,” he said.
In the video shared by NU Online, Gus Yahya is seen hugging and kissing the hand of Kiai Miftach as Rais Aam.
Apart from that, he was also seen shaking hands and kissing the hands of other senior NU kiai, such as KH Ma’ruf Amin, KH Nurul Huda Djazuli, and KH Anwar Manshur.
PBNU is currently experiencing internal conflict.It all started after Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar recommended Gus Yahya resign from the position of general chairman.
This decision was the result of the PBNU’s daily Syuriyah meeting at the Aston Hotel, Jakarta, on Thursday 20 November.At the meeting, 37 members of the 53 Syuriyah PBNU daily administrators were present.
Syuriyah PBNU also held a plenary meeting at the Sultan Hotel in Jakarta last Tuesday (9/12).The meeting was chaired by Rais Syuriyah PBNU Muhammad Nuh on the mandate of Rais Aam KH Miftachul Akhyar.
The plenary decided Zulfa Mustofa as Acting General Chair of PBNU for the remaining term of office until the 2026 Congress.
“The appointment of the Acting General Chairperson of PBNU for the remaining term of service, namely Mr. KH Zulfa Mustofa,” said Rais Syuriah Muhammad Nuh in a press conference after the plenary meeting at the Sultan Hotel.
