opens his voice about the ongoing issue of his impeachment.
Gus Yahya said this when he had just arrived at the location of the Coordination Meeting of Chairmen of the Regional Management of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) throughout Indonesia at the Navator Hotel Surabaya, Saturday (22/11) evening.
“Gathering, coordination of organizational management,” said Gus Yahya.

When asked whether this meeting was related to the issue of his impeachment which was revealed through the PBNU Syuriyah Daily Meeting Minutes document on November 20 2025, Gus Yahya admitted that he did not know.
He also admitted that he had not received the minutes document signed by Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar.
“I haven’t received it myself. But we’ll see if anything is prepared. Wait for the information,” concluded Gus Yahya.

At the location, a number of regional NU administrators have also started arriving at the Navator Hotel Surabaya.
A number of NU Banser personnel were also seen standing guard around the meeting room on the 3rd floor of the hotel.
Previously, the Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), opened his voice regarding the ongoing issue of the impeachment of General Chairman (Ketum) KH Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya.He asked all elements of the NU management to calmly respond to this matter.
The issue of impeachment was revealed through the document circulating in the minutes of the PBNU Syuriyah Daily Meeting dated November 20 2025.The document itself was signed by Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar.
Responding to this dynamic, Gus Ipul appealed to all NU administrators at all levels, from PBNU, PWNU, PCNU, MWCNU to NU Branches to remain calm and maintain a conducive atmosphere.
Gus Ipul emphasized that what is happening now is an ordinary organizational matter which is being handled by the PBNU Syariah ranks in accordance with the applicable internal mechanisms.
“This is an ongoing organizational dynamic. I ask all NU administrators and residents to remain calm, not to be carried away by misleading news, and not to increase misunderstandings,” said Gus Ipul, in his statement, Friday (21/11).
