The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has set the cost of organizing the Hajj at IDR 87.4 million or a decrease of around IDR 2 million.
Sales & Distribution Division Head of Bank Mega Syariah Dila Karnela Peter said that the Ministry of Religion’s decision was actually a momentum for sharia banking to increase Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

Moreover, Bank Mega Syariah’s market share in Hajj and Umrah Savings services continues to show a positive trend, supported by increasing sharia financial literacy and ease of access to digital services.
“We continue to develop Hajj Savings both in terms of features and accessibility. We are optimistic that the trend will continue to grow positively in line with the increasingly affordable cost of Hajj and increasing public awareness to plan worship from an early age,” said Dila in a statement, Tuesday (2/12).
As of October 2025, Bank Mega Syariah’s Hajj Savings have reached around IDR 324.2 billion, growing around 9 percent (year to date) and contributing more than 20 percent to total savings in the company.
Meanwhile, the number of customers increased by around 6 percent compared to the position at the end of December 2024.
This growth in Hajj Savings occurred evenly in various regions, especially Jakarta, Central Java and East Java.
