In the same meeting, Prabowo also reminded that every policy made by the leadership and cadres must always side with the people.
Prabowo also reminded the ranks of his party about the meaning of being a leader.
“A true leader must understand the condition of his nation. It is not enough just to like or dislike it, but he must know the direction of the nation’s struggle,” said President Prabowo.
In his presentation when giving a briefing on the nation’s struggle, Prabowo re-emphasized the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD 45).
The contents of Article 33 as explained in the briefing are as follows:
1. The economy is structured as a joint venture based on the principle of kinship;
2. Branches of production which are important for the state and which affect the lives of many people are controlled by the state;
3. The earth and water and the natural resources contained therein are controlled by the state and used for the greatest prosperity of the people;
4. The national economy is organized based on economic democracy with the principles of togetherness, efficiency, justice, sustainability, environmental insight, independence, and by maintaining a balance of progress and national economic unity.

During the briefing event, all Gerindra Party cadres wore white safari tops with cream colored trousers, and all male cadres wore skullcaps.
