Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (
BNPB
) Lt. Gen. TNI Suharyanto said communication networks in 15 of the 18 districts/cities in
Aceh
has started to recover.
This was conveyed by Suharyanto in the agenda ‘Directions from the President of the Republic of Indonesia from Banda Aceh regarding Disaster Management & Recovery’, Sunday (7/12) evening.

“Communications networks, Mr President, of the 18 districts/cities affected in Aceh province, 15 have begun to recover,” said Suharyanto.
He said that currently there are 5 districts/cities that use Starlink facilities to communicate, namely Central Aceh, Bener Meriah, Southeast Aceh, Gayo Lues, and Aceh Tamiang.
Suharyanto said that Starlink internet facilities are available in Kodim and government offices which are places for people to gather.
“We will gradually normalize this so that people can communicate outside,” he added.
Meanwhile, Suharyanto said 81 percent of the electricity was functioning.
“This will continue to be updated. We received instructions from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources that tomorrow afternoon all of Aceh will be 100 percent,” he said.
Meanwhile, clean water is still an obstacle in Aceh Tamiang, Langsa City, East Aceh, North Aceh, Lhokseumawe City, Bireuen, Pidie Jaya and Bener Meriah.
“This is still being improved,” he concluded.
The ratas, which was held directly at the integrated post for handling Aceh’s natural disasters at the Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh, was also attended by a number of ministers, including the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief.
