Sunindyo’s attorney, Rtan F Hutabarat said the news circulating on social media was a hoax and baseless.He claimed his client had never received a bribe in any form.
“Mr. Sunindyo has never received bribes in any form in the form of money, facilities, or goods from the company,” he told reporters on Thursday (8/14).
He also denied the news of a refund of Rp180 million to the Bengkulu High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati).Ryan said his client never ordered or gave direction to the regional mining inspector to receive money from the company.
“Mr. Sunindyo never knew, never communicated, or never met the company or owner of the company,” he explained.
In the coal mining corruption case, Bengkulu Attorney General’s Office has named a total of nine people as suspects.The latest is the Head of the Mining Inspector of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the 2022-2024 period, Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi.
While the suspect from the private sector, namely Commissioner Tunas Bara Jaya Bebby Hussy, General Manager of PT Inti Bara Perdana Saskya Hussy, Managing Director of Tunas Bara Jaya Julius Soh, Marketing of PT Inti Bara Perdana Agusman.
Then, Director of Tunas Bara Jaya Sutarman, Director of PT Samban Mining Edhie Santosa, Branch Head of PT Sucofindo Bengkulu Iman Sumantri, and PT Samban Mining Commissioner David Alexander Yuwono.
From the results of the auditor’s calculation, Bengkulu Attorney said that the state loss due to this corruption case reached Rp500 billion caused by environmental damage and incorrect coal sales.
