“Both of them were declared PTDH (dismissal without honor) by the Governor of South Sulawesi,” said Ismaruddin in his official statement, Tuesday (11/11).
The letter of recommendation for dismissal was based on a follow-up to the Supreme Court’s cassation decision which found Rasnal and Muis guilty. But, said Ismaruddin, the Supreme Court in its decision did not order the teacher to be fired.
PGRI believes that there was something wrong in the process of dismissing the two teachers.According to Ismaruddin, the government should have provided guidance to the two teachers before they were dismissed.
“Yes
something wrong
“here, of course, disturbs our sense of justice and humanity,” he said.
President Prabowo
Ismaruddin said that his party together with teachers, Rasnal and Abdul Muis would ask the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto for forgiveness so that they would be pardoned for humanitarian reasons.
“We ask President Prabowo to grant pardon to brothers Rasnal and Abdul Muis so that they can restore their rights and dignity as ASN teachers,” he said.
This case began in 2018, when Rasnal served as Principal of North Luwu 1 Public High School, intending to help 10 honorary teachers who had not received salaries for 10 months.
Then Rasnal and Abdul Muis took the initiative to propose to the School Committee that parents of students work together without coercion. The proposal was approved.
“In fact, the student’s parents themselves proposed that the donation be increased to IDR 20 thousand from the previous IDR 17 thousand,” said former member of the SMAN 1 North Luwu committee, Supri Balantja.
