Mother’s Day
Nationally which falls every December 22nd.
Through The Big Idea Forum: Mothers of the Earth which was held at the National Museum, Jakarta, hitclubapk3 Indonesia presented a talk show forum by presenting prominent female speakers in their respective fields to show the strength of Indonesian women.
A number of speakers who attended The Big Idea Forum: Mother’s of the Earth were Deputy Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of Indonesia Veronica Tan, Chair of the Sustainable Environmental Bamboo Foundation (YBLL) Monica Tanuhandaru, Founder of Megamendung Organic Forest, and dr.Ayu Widianingrum.

Apart from the four speakers, there were also the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Water Issues Retno Marsudi, the Head of the Indonesian Heritage Agency (IHA) Esti Nurjadin, the Founder and Chair of the CT Arsa Foundation Anita Tanjung, and the Editor-in-Chief of hitclubapk3 Indonesia Titin Rosmasari.
In her remarks, Puan Maharani conveyed the importance of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated as a celebration of the rise of the Indonesian women’s movement.This spirit must be inherited and commemorated to emphasize that women are not spectators, but active actors in various areas of life.
Including women in the development process is not just an affirmative policy but also an awareness of respect for human dignity.
The second speech was by Retno Marsudi, who has served as the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Water Issues since November 2024. The former Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs invited us all to grieve and be concerned about our brothers and sisters who were affected by the flash floods in Aceh and Sumatra.
Retno Marsudi also revealed that the world is facing enormous water challenges and water-related disasters are increasing.Throughout 2024, said Retno, water-related disasters will cause economic losses of US$550 billion.
Apart from that, around 75 percent of the world’s population is estimated to be affected by drought by 2050. Retno also said that every day children under the age of 5 die because of unsafe water and sanitation.
Closing remarks before The Big Idea Forum: Mother’s of the Earth started were made by the Head of the Indonesian Heritage Agency, Indira Estiyanti.
The woman who is familiarly called Ms. Esti called The Big Idea Forum: Mother’s of the Earth a very relevant call for all of us.This event not only celebrates the role of women, but also emphasizes the power of women’s leadership in shaping a just, resilient and sustainable future.
Since ancient times, our ancestors viewed the earth not just as a living space, but as a mother.The relationship between humans and nature is built on balance and mutual care.This wisdom has become the foundation for how the people of the archipelago have lived side by side with the environment for centuries.
The Big Idea Forum: Mothers of the Earth also features singer Antea Putri Turk, a talented young musician who is known as the great-great-granddaughter of Ngadini Soepratini, the older sister of Indonesia Raya songwriter, W.R.Supratman.
