According to a Reuters report, Huang also tweeted, on his personal X page, that China was only a nanosecond behind the US regarding the AI race.
“As I have said for a long time, China is several nanoseconds behind the United States in the field of artificial intelligence (AI),” he said.
“It’s critical for America to excel by moving faster and winning over developers around the world,” he added.
In October, the man worth more than IDR 2,546 trillion said that the US could win the AI competition if the global ecosystem used Nvidia’s system. However, he regretted that the Chinese government closed his access to the market.
Competition between China and the United States to dominate the fields of advanced computing and artificial intelligence is heating up.China’s access to AI chips, especially those produced by Nvidia, remains a hot spot in the technology race.
“We want the United States to win in this artificial intelligence race. There’s no doubt about that,” Huang said at an Nvidia developer conference held in Washington last month.
Huang also added that he wants to build a world based on American technology, but he also needs to attract developers from China.
“We want the world to be built on American technology. That’s true. But we also need to be in China to attract their developers. A policy that deprives America of half of the world’s artificial intelligence developers is not profitable in the long run, it hurts us more,” he added.
In an interview aired on Sunday, US President Donald Trump stated that Nvidia’s most advanced Blackwell chips would only be available to United States consumers.
As CEO Jensen Huang previously revealed, Nvidia has not applied for a US export permit to sell the chips in China due to Beijing’s attitude towards the company.
Trump added that Washington would allow China to interact with Nvidia, but “not when it comes to the most advanced semiconductors.”
