When confirmed, Subang Police Chief AKBP Dony Eko Wicaksono said that the overflowing river water had overflowed into residential areas as a result of the high rainfall since Thursday afternoon.

“The river overflowed but it entered people’s houses. Members were there again. It wasn’t a flood, there wasn’t any. It was overflowing river water,” said Dony when confirmed, Thursday evening.
He explained that the police, including the police chief and Samapta personnel, were at the location to carry out checks and help the affected residents.
Until now, the authorities are still recording the number of houses affected and ensuring that residents remain safe.
“Later, we’ll check how many people enter the houses,” said Dony.
Meanwhile, West Java BPBD Public Relations Officer Hadi Rahmat said that hundreds of houses were flooded in Subang Regency.
“Until now, flooding conditions are still ongoing and have the potential to increase. We urge residents to remain alert and follow directions from officers in the field,” he said, when contacted separately.

Apart from that, in Subang, based on the data received, a tidal flood occurred in Legonkulon District at around 07.00 WIB.
Flooding occurred due to tidal water overflowing and inundating residential areas.
The affected locations include Mayangan Village which includes Krajan Hamlet RT 01 and RT 02 RW 01 as well as Pondok Bali Hamlet RT 03 and RT 04 RW 02.
Then, Legonwetan Village which includes Krajan Hamlet RT 01 to RT 04 RW 01 and Tegalsari Hamlet RT 05 to RT 09 RW 02 in Legonkulon District, Subang Regency.
From the results of temporary data collection, the impact of the flood was recorded:
– In Mayangan Village, 266 housing units were submerged with 347 heads of families affected.There were no reports of casualties.
– In Legonwetan Village, 487 housing units were submerged with 813 heads of families affected.There were no reports of casualties.
West Java Province BPBD has coordinated with Subang Regency BPBD to take handling steps.
BPBD Subang Regency has also coordinated with local authorities and carried out a direct assessment at the location of the incident to ensure the safety of residents and the need for further treatment in the field.
