“We are deploying one SSK from the Mendagiri Cavalry Battalion and one SST from Kodim 1408/BS Makassar,” said Kapendam XIV/Hasanuddin, Colonel Kav Budi Wirman, when confirmed, Tuesday (18/11).
Budi said that hundreds of TNI members were stationed at a number of points prone to brawls.He hopes that the situation will soon be safe and conducive.
“We will be alerted until further orders are given, while ensuring conditions are conducive,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Makassar, Munafri Arifuddin, said that his party had coordinated with the Makassar Police and South Sulawesi Police Mobile Brigade to search for the perpetrators of the brawl.
“This is already a crime and must be processed further,” said Appi, his nickname.
According to Appi, the brawls were thought to be from the same group and often provoked each other.He will take serious steps in dealing with this problem.

Until last night, TNI personnel carried out searches in a number of places suspected of being hiding places for the perpetrators of the brawl.
