In KPop Demon Hunters, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami sing the roles of Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), respectively.
Golden received three nominations, namely Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Meanwhile, the entire soundtrack for KPop Demon Hunters was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media.
For EJAE, who is one of Golden’s songwriters, the nomination opens up a wider discussion around representation.
“I’m very proud to be Korean because growing up in America too, I once felt embarrassed to be Korean. I felt excluded, so I’m happy to be part of this incredible cultural phenomenon and to be able to show off our country,” he said.
Audrey Nuna agrees with her friend.He emphasized that the nomination means a lot to anyone with any background who is involved in the world of music.
“This is a peak moment. And I think we think not only about this film, but also our lives, its cultural and historical context, our parents, and our struggles,” he said.
“It’s been the honor of a lifetime to stand with [EJAE and Rei Ami] and for all of us to do it together. This sisterhood is truly beautiful,” added Audrey Nuna.
Rei Ami is already excited at the thought of attending the ceremony, which will be held on February 1 in Los Angeles.
“Win!”said Rei Ami when asked what she was looking forward to the most.”That would be really cool.”
The winners of the 2026 Grammy Awards will be announced on February 1 at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles.
HUNTR/X debuted its live appearance on The Tonight Show on October 7.They are also scheduled to perform live at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2025 concert in Los Angeles on December 5.
KPop Demon Hunters quickly became the most-watched animated film on Netflix after its debut in June 2025. The title is also the most popular film of all time on the platform with over 236 million views and counting.
The film’s soundtrack also made a big splash when it debuted at No.1 on Billboard’s Soundtrack chart and No.8 on the Billboard 200 for all genres.This soundtrack is also the first soundtrack with four Top 10 songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100.
